The Medal of the Immaculate Conception, popularly known as the Miraculous Medal, was designed by the Blessed Virgin Mary herself! Here we view the incorrupt body of St. Catherine and the heart of St. Vincent de Paul. Then, by cable car ride, on to Sacre Coeur, built atop Montmartre Hill, with its magnificent views of Paris. Completed in 1914 in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in thanksgiving for France's survival of the Prussian War, the Sacre Coeur reflects the intense faith of the French people. This afternoon, we bid adieu to Paris as we transfer to the Gare du Nord train station and we embark upon our "Chunnel" train experience en route to London. His canonization in 1173 made the church a destination for pilgrims from all over Europe. We celebrate Mass in Canterbury and enjoy our guided tour of the cathedral and St. Becket's Shrine. We also get to visit St. Dunstan's Church where St. Thomas More's head is buried. After a full day of sightseeing, we return to London for dinner at our hotel and overnight.
