Days 1-2UbudBali's cultural heart boasts a great array of galleries and shops for art lovers to explore. Trawl the Gianyar night market for delicious local food.
Day 3SidemenTake a leisurely bike ride through back lanes, rice paddies and past beautiful temples - a great opportunity to meet the locals.
Day 4Mt BaturSample a traditional 'bungkus' (take-away) lunch in the cool mountain air of Sideman before moving on to a small fishing village by Lake Batur.
Days 5-7LovinaHike to the summit of Mt Batur in time for sunrise. Then trade mountains with the beach for a chance to snorkel, scuba or swim in pristine waters.
Day 8UbudGet off-the-beaten-track exploring fragrant coffee and clove plantations before taking a dip beneath a hidden waterfall on a half-day walk in Munduk.
Day 9Kuta, LombokUnlike its Balinese counterpart, Lombok's Kuta beach is relatively crowd-free. A bicycle is the best way to discover the superb surrounding coastline.
Day 10TetebatuTravel to the hill retreat of Tetebatu, right in the heart of the island. With waterfalls, tobacco fields and a pleasant, temperate climate, be sure to take to the walking tracks.
Day 11SapitSitting in the shadow of Mt Rinjani, picturesque Sapit awaits. Explore tiny villages on a walk to a nearby canyon before retiring to our friendly guesthouse overlooking the rice paddies.
Days 12-13The GilisAway from the noise of modern life, and accessible only by boat, Gili Meno is the ultimate island getaway. Snorkel, dive or soak up the sun on the island's perfect beaches.
Days 14-15DenpasarFly back to Bali for a final celebratory feast.
