Itinerary

Day	Destination	Description
Day 1	Kampala	A modern city, Kampala is developing rapidly after years of turbulence. There's free time this evening to kick back at one of the many friendly watering holes around the city, or to browse the local markets and malls.
Days 2-4	Gorilla Trek	The journey south-west goes through Mbarara, home of the impressive Ankole Longhorn cattle, and onto the cultivated hillside terraces of Bwindi. The thick jungle in this region is one of the last remaining sanctuaries of the mountain gorilla. Be challenged by a long trek across sprawling undergrowth and over bamboo-covered slopes - but don't worry, fatigue will magically disappear with that first glimpse of a magnificent gorilla. On the final day here, set out on an early morning walk through thick forest and past the Munyaga Waterfalls to catch sight of some of the region's many birds and monkeys.
Days 5-6	Queen Elizabeth National Park	A cruise along the Kazinga Channel offers a close look at hippos wallowing in the mud. Enjoy a game drive through the park in search of elephants, buffaloes, leopards and lions. Afterwards, appreciate the wild beauty of the area from Baboon Cliff, before heading to the captivating landscape of the crater lakes. Created by volcanic activity thousands of years ago, these bodies of water attract hundreds of different species of birds.
Day 7	Kampala	Brush past dangling vines in Kyambura Gorge and listen for the chatter of chimpanzees over the roar of the river. A cacophony overhead usually signifies the presence of these cheeky creatures. Giant forest hogs may also be spotted amongst the dense foliage. Later, travel back to Kampala.
