Mention code 6601417 | | Intrepid Travel | | | | Day | Destination | Description | | Days 1-2 | Kelk Creek & Cape Leveque | Travelling through the Dampier peninsula we visit traditional Aboriginal communities to learn a little about thier way of life. After chilling out on the pristine beaches, we move onto the stunning beaches of Cape Leveque, were we'll set up camp for the night. | | Day 3 | One Arm Point & Lombadina | Leaving Cape Leveque, we move onto the Buccaneer Archipelago to witness the huge tidal flows of the Kimberley. After visiting the Lombadina Community we return to Broome were we'll spend the night. | | Day 4 | Windjana Gorge | We travel onto the mighty Fitzroy River and visit some of the local Aboriginal ?Wandjina? artists at Mowanjum Arts & Cultural Centre. Travelling on up the Gibb River Road, we head for the Napier Ranges. Enjoy lunch at Windjana Gorge, before an afternoon trek to explore the natural scenery and abundance of local wildlife and watch the sunset over the gorge walls. | | Day 5 | Tunnel Creek & Biridu Community | In the morning we learn a little about about the vast Tunnel Creek cave networks, a place where you can swim and marvel at this natural wonder. We move onto our guides Biridu community for a bushtucker dinner and a memorable evening of Aboriginal stories round the campfire. | | Day 6 | Geikie Gorge/Broome | Emerging from Biridu, we journey towards Fitzroy Crossing to explore the spectacular Geikie Gorge. We take a spectacular cruise through the gorge to view the dramatic walls. After lunch we visit Fitzroy Crossing, before returning to beautiful Broome were we'll finish our adventure. |
