Days 1-2
Kathmandu
A hive of activity, Kathmandu is teeming with legends, lanes and lentil soups.
Day 3
Lukla
Acclimatise with a gentle walk out from the mountain lodge at Lukla.
Days 4-17
Mera Peak
Warm up with steady ascents over 10 days, trekking across the gorgeous mountain scenery that Nepal is famous for. Follow Dig glacier with stunning views of the north face of Mera to Khare, where there is time to become familiarised with the trekking kit and get in some climbing practice. Jump for joy at the towering summit of Mera Peak - but make sure to save some energy for the descent.
Days 18-19
Lukla
Back down at 'low' altitudes - approximately 2,800 m - you'll barely notice the occassional climbs of the final hike back to Lukla.
Days 20-21
Kathmandu
Book in for a massage in busy Kathmandu or wander the colourful streets if you just can't stop walking.
