Explore crowded bazaars where stalls and tiny hole-in-the-wall shops sell everything from bangles to Buddhas. | | Days 3-14 | Island Peak | Trek high into the Himalayas for a real mountaineering experience. Here your Sherpa will give you climbing practice sessions in preparation for the final ascent. Begin the attack on Island Peak in the very early hours of the morning. Its a gruelling 10 hours from base camp and back but, at a height of 6,183 m, standing atop Island Peak is an exhilarating achievement. | | Day 15 | Lukla | Enjoy a leisurely walk to Lukla to conclude this mountain adventure. | | Days 16-17 | Kathmandu | Back in Kathmandu, there is time to do some more explorations, have a rest or find a cafe to get a feast and chatter about your Himalayan experience. |
